Our fourth day was mostly a travel day, and, unfortunately, I did not capture many photos. We left the Welsh border and headed North towards the top of England to see Hadrian’s Wall.
After our train ride, as we made our way towards the town we would be staying in (Hexham), we stopped at the Roman Army Museum. There, we learned a lot about the Roman Empire’s conquest into Britannia and a lot about their battle strategies and equipment. There was a significant amount of information about Emperor Hadrian, as he was the one who ordered the wall to be built, which was the farthest the Roman Empire would ever extend North.
Northern England’s scenery was breathtaking, with beautiful green, rolling hills. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather while we were in England.
Once we reached Hexham, we strolled around the picturesque town, had dinner, and prepared for the next day of hiking the wall!
